Leadership Context Map

A map of how you really behave when leading a team: five behavioural ranges from 48+ realistic situations.

How you actually behave when directing a team -- not your general pattern. One contextual analysis covering more than 48 realistic situations inside this specific context, on a five-point frequency scale, producing five behavioral ranges (center and width) rather than one number. 12 to 18 minutes. A preliminary classification built on the scientific literature that automatically updates as real user data accumulates.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between this analysis and my general applied analysis?

Your applied cross-context analysis measures your style across every context -- the pattern you carry wherever you go. The Leadership Context Map takes the exact same behavioral dimensions (communication, decision-making, conflict handling, influence) and asks a completely different question: how do you behave specifically when directing a team? The two complement each other rather than repeat -- the first is your baseline, the second is how that baseline expresses itself in depth within one specific context.

How accurate and reliable is this analysis?

Its reliability rests on three explicit numbers the product does not hide: a minimum variance floor within your own responses that prevents pure random noise from being read as a real pattern, an explicit statistical test before any behavioral gap is attributed to a specific situation, and a measurement of how stable the shape of your distribution stays over time. Until this products population calibration sample is complete, your result is presented to you as a precisely described behavioral range, not a percentage compared to a population number. It is an individual self-development tool and not an official administrative assessment tool of any kind.

Who benefits from this analysis specifically, and does the report describe my team members?

Team leads, project managers, and anyone assigned to direct others even temporarily. As for the second part of the question, it matters and is intentional: no. This report describes only your own behavior facing a general leadership situation (assigning a task, correcting a mistake) -- it never builds a description, assessment, or profile of any specific team member, their performance, or their intent, no matter how clearly the situation seems to involve someone you actually lead. Everything you read in this report is about you alone.

How long does it take to complete?

12 to 18 minutes. This is deliberately longer than a general trait analysis -- every item here is a full leadership situation written in enough detail to actually picture yourself in it, not a short statement you quickly agree with. The extra time is the price of the precision that measuring through real situations gives you, instead of abstract statements.

What do I do after the analysis?

The report gives you a practical ninety-day preparation plan (Q9) and ready-to-use tools (Q10) built specifically around the dimensions that showed the widest behavioral range for you in leadership -- not generic advice, but steps tied to situations you will actually face.

Can I redo the analysis later?

Yes, and this is a slightly different question than it first appears. The overall shape of your distribution (where the center of your leadership behavior sits, and whether your range is narrow or wide) is expected to stay relatively stable between one measurement and another weeks apart -- but your score on any single individual situation may naturally fluctuate because of the nature of the team or task at that moment, and that does not signal a measurement flaw. The difference from your applied analysis: there you ask why might my result change, while here fluctuation within one situation is expected from the outset and is not something to worry about.

Why do not I get one result like other analyses?

Because the question here is fundamentally different from the outset. Most analyses ask what is your score -- a question that accepts one number. This product asks what is the range of your leadership behavior -- and that question, by its nature, is not answered by one number; it needs a full range described: where the center sits, and how wide it spreads. The absence of one number is not a gap in the product; it is a direct result of its core question: every leader has a behavioral range, not a fixed point, and the range itself is the information you asked for when you chose this specific product.

What if my answers seem contradictory between two similar situations?

This is expected and useful, not a mistake in your answers. Granting clear autonomy when assigning a task to a trusted teammate, and being more directive and detailed when assigning a task surrounded by genuine ambiguity, is not a contradiction in your leadership style -- this is exactly what personality-psychology literature explains: behavior adapts to the nature of the situation instead of staying fixed forever. If your answers show a clear, statistically stable gap between two types of situations, it is classified as a genuine, context-linked behavioral difference -- valuable information about you, not a contradiction that calls for worry.

What is the difference between this and the Adaptive Range Index?

The Leadership Context Map describes one context in depth: how you behave specifically when directing a team, and does not compare that to your behavior in individual work or at home. The Adaptive Range Index is a completely different product: it compares your results across several contexts together to answer an entirely different question -- are you the same person across all these contexts, and what is the cost of switching between them? This product never measures that; that is precisely why the Adaptive Range Index exists as a separate product.
