Simulation: Giving Hard Feedback
A live simulation where you give a colleague hard feedback, scored by an independent evaluator.
A live conversational simulation where you -- not the simulated persona -- initiate a piece of tough feedback with a colleague. You open the topic and choose the wording, and the counterpart reacts within a pre-documented reaction range that scales with the quality of your message, not proactive escalation on its part. Your message alone is scored (structure, specificity, candor with care, actionability) by an evaluator fully independent of the persona you spoke with.
Goals:
- Practice building a critical message with structure (Situation → Behavior → Impact) instead of a scattered general impression.
- Support every point of criticism with a specific, verifiable behavioral example, instead of a personal generalization that is easy to dismiss or defend against.
- Combine full candor in content with genuine care in delivery, and leave the counterpart with a clear, immediately actionable next step.
Who this is for: Anyone who needs to initiate tough feedback with a colleague, a direct report, or a work partner -- repeated lateness, a harsh style affecting the team, or a serious documented mistake -- who wants to practice phrasing the message clearly and firmly without softening it into meaninglessness and without harshness that stops the counterpart from listening, before a real, sensitive moment.
Expected duration: Between 6 and 40 conversational turns depending on the difficulty level you choose (training/standard: minimum 6 turns; exam: minimum 8) -- most sessions in practice take between 10 and 20 minutes.
What's included
- A behaviorally consistent AI character, not a fixed script
- A judgment independent of the character you spoke with
- A literal quoted piece of evidence behind every score, not a vague verdict
- A retry compared on the same standard
- A gateway toward a real, verifiable interaction license -- not a watched-it badge

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between this simulation and a real situation or traditional corporate training?
There is no real risk to your professional relationships -- the conversation is entirely simulated, and no critical feedback you deliver here ever reaches a real colleague, no matter how blunt your message becomes (see the transparency question below). And unlike role-play with a friend, the counterpart reacts within a pre-documented reaction range that scales with the quality of your message instead of free improvisation, and your message is scored by an independent evaluator citing evidence from your own words -- not a general verbal comment from a coach that may vary from one session to the next.
How accurate/reliable is the automated evaluator's assessment?
This is measured against two strict standards before any real session opens to users: the evaluator must agree with itself when re-scoring the same session transcript, and its judgment must agree with an independent human expert's assessment on a calibration set of at least thirty real sessions spanning clear passes, borderline cases, and clear fails. This calibration is mandatory and has not been completed yet -- real sessions will not open to users before it is passed, and its results will be published transparently once complete.
Who specifically benefits from this training?
Anyone who needs to initiate tough feedback with a colleague, a direct report, or a work partner, and wants to practice phrasing the message clearly and firmly without softening it into meaninglessness and without harshness that stops the counterpart from listening, before a real, sensitive moment.
How long does a session take?
Between 6 and 40 conversational turns depending on the difficulty level you choose -- most sessions in practice take between 10 and 20 minutes.
What do I do after the session?
You get a debrief with exactly 3 to 6 indicators, each with a score (0 to 3) and a literal quote from your own words explaining exactly why that score was given, plus one thing that worked and one specific next step to work on. It is not a final verdict on your feedback-giving skill -- it is a practical behavioral recommendation to build on in your next attempt or in a similar real situation.
Can I retry? And why might my result differ?
Yes. In training mode you can retry the same scenario to learn; in test mode an equivalent (not identical) scenario version is used, to prevent memorizing a saved phrasing instead of developing real message-delivery skill. Your result may differ because the conversation is genuinely live -- how you phrase your message drives the counterpart's reaction each time, not a pre-fixed script.
Is the character I'm talking to a real human or artificial intelligence?
Fully artificial intelligence. The counterpart is a simulated persona with a pre-documented reaction range -- there is no real human behind the screen at any point in the session, and no critical feedback you deliver here ever reaches a real colleague no matter what the session's outcome is.
Is my conversation or voice used for other purposes or shared with a third party?
By this product's design, your session text is used exclusively to generate your evaluation (debrief) and to make it available to you later for review (replay) -- it is not shared with any third party outside the platform. This is an approved design commitment that will be enforced when the runtime engines are built, and it will be live-verified before real sessions open to users.
What if I disagree with a score or a quote in my evaluation?
Every score in your evaluation is tied to a literal quote from your own session text -- you can always review the quote and check it yourself. If you believe a quote is inaccurate or a score doesn't reflect what you actually said, your evaluation is not a final closed verdict -- the product is designed to carry an appeal path, and its details will be published once real sessions open.
Does this session's result grant me an interaction license directly?
No. This session produces a scorecard for one scenario only -- scores, evidence, and a pass/not-pass decision against that scenario's specific threshold. A verifiable interaction license (a credential you can check via a code/link) requires accumulating multiple qualifying sessions across multiple products within the separate Interaction Licenses family -- it is not granted directly from a single session here.
