Stress Signature

A reading of your general tendency to react emotionally under pressure, from earlier results; not a mental-health check.

The Stress Signature describes a general tendency in your emotional reactions; it is not an assessment of your mental health or a verdict on how well you would cope with any particular strain. It reads one dimension, shown on your page as Emotional Reactivity Under Pressure, which is at heart a general trait: your usual tendency to be strongly affected emotionally, so the higher the reading, the stronger that tendency, and the lower it is, the calmer you usually are. Neither source measures what you do in one particular stressful situation; linking the reading to pressure is an interpretation, because this tendency often shows most when demands pile up. Both sources are analyses built by this platform, each inspired by a published trait model rather than issued by its authors: Five Traits Analysis - Per (Big Five), which contributes its Neuroticism scale, and 6-Dimension Personality - Per (HEXACO), which contributes its Emotionality scale, meaning emotional sensitivity; both rise with stronger reactions, so they are read in the same direction. The signature is complete once you have finished both the Big Five and the 6-Dimension Personality analyses; with only one of them, its reading appears with partial confidence. The two scales are related but not identical, so the signature does not assume they agree; it measures the distance between them before writing its reading. You may have noticed that two of your reports talk about your emotions in different terms, one calling it Neuroticism and the other Emotionality. The Stress Signature puts the two in front of you in one focused reading, so you can see whether they draw the same picture of your general emotional tendency.

Frequently asked questions

How does this signature differ from any single report from your source tools?

Each report stands alone: the Big Five analysis tells you your level of Neuroticism and the 6-Dimension Personality analysis your level of Emotionality, each on its own scale and in its own vocabulary. The signature places both results on one scale, measures the distance between them, and writes its reading according to what it finds: when they sit close together or differ only partly, the reading still rests on their average, and when they diverge it shows the level of each source separately.

How many sources do I need, and what is the highest confidence my signature can reach?

The full view requires that you have finished both the Big Five and the 6-Dimension Personality analyses; with only one of them complete, the reading appears with partial confidence. The highest confidence the signature can reach is high, which it shows when the two sources agree; when they differ, even partly, confidence is medium. If one of them is about 18 months old or more, it is set aside from the reading until you retake it.

Who benefits from this signature specifically?

The signature is most useful if you want to understand your general emotional tendency and judge for yourself how it connects with what you notice on your busier days, or if your two reports left you with different impressions of your emotional reactions and you were unsure which to trust. It will do little for you if you are looking for an explanation of distress you are going through right now; if that distress persists and weighs on your days, talking with a qualified professional will help you more than any personality reading.

When does my signature first appear?

With both sources complete, the signature appears in full the first time you open it after purchase; with only one complete, it appears with partial confidence and fills in once you finish the other.

What should I do after my signature appears?

Hold what the signature says up against real situations you have been through lately, such as a tense meeting, a tight deadline or a sudden change of plan, and notice whether your reaction resembles the description. If your reading is high, try holding back your response in a tense moment for a few minutes before deciding; if it is low, keep an eye on the people around you who are more affected than you and do not show it.

When does my signature update, and do I need to retake any assessment?

No retake is needed for the signature to refresh. Retaking is worth it in two cases: when one of the sources has been set aside because of its age, or when you have been through a major shift in work or life since completing it and feel your answers no longer describe where you are today.
